Sinclair fight with himself, that always to compare himself with other boys. Yet fortunately there is Pistorius that always teaching Sinclair to self-respect. Sinclair always disturbed by his dreams about the heraldic bird in the entrance of his house, and a woman that strange like a half man, a half of woman, but he didn’t tell his dreams to the Pistorius. Although like that Pistorius have conscious it, but he don’t want to know it, he just tell Sinclair: live that dreams, play with them, build altars to them. All of taught, told, and said by Pistorius has a similarities with Demian, whereas they didn’t know each other.

A few times during the breaks between classes, there is a delicate, weak-looking boy with thin red-blond hair to seek Sinclair, he is Knauer a fellow student that never paid any previous attention, but actually Knauer very interest to the Sinclair, because he feel there’s something special about Sinclair. One evening when Sinclair go home, Knauer follow him until the front door his home, Sinclair know that, then they start to chatting. Actually Knauer same with Sinclair, he is a seeker himself. Knauer want to search an answer of his dreams, he ask help to the Sinclair for his horrible dreams, yet Sinclair can’t give an advice at all to him, Knauer sad and hopeless, he want to suicide.

In the other sides, Sinclair realize his dreams to be a painting. He questioned the painting, berated it, made love to it, pray to it; he called it mother, called it whore and slut, called it his beloved, called it Abraxas. Sinclair remember all of the words that said by Pistorius and Demian, that words about Jacob’s wrestling with the angel of God and his “I will not let thee go except thou bless me. “

Like as a sleep-walker, unconscious Sinclair visited Kauer in the cold night, But he didn’t give any advice, because suddenly a voice from himself that command him to go home and didn’t say a word to anyone. Since at the time, Knauer clung to the Sinclair like a faithful servant or a dog, made every effort to forge his life with Sinclair. Although like that Sinclair didn’t feel an interest with him, not like as he interest to the Demian and Pistorius.
