SUMMARY OF THE STORY
“BEAUTY AND THE BEAST”

One day there lived a merchant who has three daughter,one of them called Beauty because she was youngest,prettiest,sweetest than other her sisters.When a merchant would be going set off for market,he asked to his daughters what she would like as present on his return.Beauty only ask a rose from her father where her sisters ask precious something.

  But in the middle of the trip for went home,there was a storm so that a merchant must be took a rest.He found a big castle,but in there didn’t anyone.Strangely in the castle a merchant served by generous host that didn’t seen.In the next morning after had breakfast, a merchant went towards the garden,suddenly his eye caught a large rose bush.He remembering his promise to Beauty,he picked a rose.Instantly a horrible beast  angry and want to killed a merchant,but a merchant explained his reason picked the rose for a present to his daughter.Then Beast gave him a choice,Beast didn’t kill him if he brought his daughter to him.A merchant agree and keep his promise brought Beauty to Beast’s castle.Beast wanted Beauty stay with him,and now Beauty lived with Beast.At the first Beauty so frightened to Beast,but day by day the frightenness was lose,because Beast served her very kind.But loneliness still she felt,so Beast gave her a magnificent magic mirror.She could see his family from the mirror and one day she saw her father got a sick,Beauty so sad and permited to Beast visited her father,at first beast didn’t permit her,but because of him felt pitty to the Beauty,he permitted Beauty visited her father but she must be returned to the castle in seven days time.Then Beauty came home,as long as at home Beauty forgot  her promise to the Beast.When she saw Beast was dying in her dream,Beauty very regret because she had forget her promise and immeditely she went to the castle by hurried.When she arrived in the castle,she saw Beast looked as though dead,Beauty very sad,she cried and  say she loved him.Suddenly Beast transform became a handsome man,an evil witch had gone by the true love.

Beauty as the protagonist character

ÒBeauty was youngest,prettiest,sweetest than other her sisters.

ÒShe is a plan girl,but full of inner beauty.Showed in the dialogue:

“All I’d like is a rose you’ve picked specially for me!”.

ÒBeauty also kind and very loved his father,showed in the dialogue:

“Dear father, I’d do anything for you! Don’t worry, you’ll be able to keep your promise and save your life! Take me to the castle. I’ll stay there in your place.

ÒNot only that,but also beauty always keep her promise,it showed by the author’s narration:

Beauty had made drove her to leave home immadiately to go to the castle.

ÒBeauty was honourable girl, because she accepted to marry with the beast, although beast like as an ugly monster,it showed in the dialogue:

“Don’t die! Don’t die! I’ll marry you.”

BEAST ( the prince ) as the protagonist character

ÒBeast was a handsome young man, but because a cursed an evil witch he became an ugly monster.

ÒBeast was good and kind, it showed by the auhtor’s narration that Beast had serve a merchan and beauty was really good and kind.

ÒBeast also very care to the Beauty, he presented a magnificent magic mirror, in order to Beauty couldn’t lonely.

ÒBeast was tolerance man, he permit Beauty to visit her father. Showed in the dialogue:

“If you swear that you will return here seven days time, I’ll let you go and visit your father!”

A MERCHANT ( BEAUTY’S FATHER ) as the tritagonist character

ÒHe was kind and love all of his daughters, because in the story showed:

he asked each of his three daughters what she would like as a present on his return.

ÒA Merchant also always keep his promise,showed that he brought his daughter (Beauty ) to the Beast’s castle.

BEAUTY’S SISTERS as the antagonist character

ÒThey was greedy, because in the story told about they want the expensive present from their father, without thinking about the welfare of their father.

PEDAGOGI BENEFIT

ÒTo know about adjectives, this is will be improved vocabulary skill of the childrens about characteristic of human.

Ex: Beauty, kind, good, etc.

ÒTo introduce about noun, this story involved some noun around us that understandable easily by the children.

Ex: Necklace, dress, mirror, etc.

ÒTo introduce the called name of family.

Ex: Father, daughter, wife, etc.

ÒTo teach the children about moral and value of norms, in order to the children be able to distinguish between good things and bad things.

Ex; Care, kind, keep the promise, etc.

ÒTo help the children understanding about comparative degree.

Ex: Youngest, prettiest, sweetest, etc.
